Professor of Accounting and Finance at UiS Business School, working at the intersection of resource economics, finance, accounting and industry analysis.
Bård Misund is Professor at UiS Business School. His research focuses on valuation and risk in resource-based industries.
His work covers aquaculture economics, resource taxation, commodity markets, derivatives, financial reporting and company valuation. A recurring theme is how market conditions and policy affect investment and value creation.
He holds a PhD in Industrial Economics from the University of Stavanger and has more than 15 years of experience from energy and other commodity industries. Before returning to academia, he worked with project valuation and valuation of complex assets at Equinor (embedded derivatives, gas storage, pipeline arbitrage, gas sales contracts).
